The document editing feature is by far the most loved feature of AR RC for me. Super simple to edit forms, save and sign them and shoot them back for finalizing deals, legal docs and so on. As far as I know, this is the most used program for doing these functions. A quick check of iStore or Google Play download numbers would verify that though.
Again, nothing really sticks out here. Over the years, Adobe has done a great job at improving its features and functionality in Adobe Reader.
Adobe has become the standard pdf viewer in many industries. Not only i use adobe for official work but also for my personal needs. This is an excellent tool for the people are in to reading like me. Rather then surfing in internet my hobby is reading novels and short stories during my leisure time for that this software is a handy tool to use. And also this app is less complex than the other readers i have used so far. It has the feature of book marking the pages so u can easily resume and highlighting the importent notes.if u are getting the premium version you can njoy much more cool features than this like editing and organizing your pdf. As a free application this is perfect to me.
There are not much cons regarding this app. But i feel it should be more attractive and eye friendly cause we literally use this app for hours. And also they can have a good customer support.
I have two problems with this software, when dragging an element around it'll snap into place, which is nice but sometimes I do find the alignment a little off and it can be tedious to get it just right. The other is the pricing, not the price tho. See Adobe sells the software for a monthly fee as part of their Creative Cloud solution but for people like me who prefer to pay once for a piece of the software that's a bummer. However! Adobe does sell the software stand alone for a flat fee, it's just not advertised on their site that way and unless you know about it, you'd probably not even know it was an option. I don't like that.
This software has become absolutely indispensable throughout my current Masters programme. Finding relevant information within a huge document, being able to write on top and add notes, highlighting specific areas with various colours and sizes of 'pen' all make Acrobat Reader DC the leader when working with PDFs. Sure, there are other PDF readers out there but Adobe continues to innovate and evolve its format and the ability to work with it. Being able to sync directly with Adobe Cloud is the latest 'must have' for working with documents no matter what platform or what location.
There is little that I don't like about this software. Occasionally, on Android tablets, I can't find certain functionality that I find on desktops but I suspect this is more about my having not properly learned the differences rather than them not being on that version. I'm not a fan of the different levels of 'lock down' on PDFs - some give me full permissions to highlight, comment, add text, etc, while other documents are completely locked with no ability to do anything but read - I don't know how to identify what level of read/write access beforehand but, again, that might be more about me than the software.
First off, i like being able to download the product from the manufacturer/developers site directly. This way you feel safe that you are getting the right safe product.
I rated customer support as 4 stars (which may be a bit silly since i have never really run into a snag with the program) but i can't rate it 100% without having tried or needed it.
I love everything about this software. One of my favorite things is the search feature, which enables you to easily search by keyword through a document which may be 100 pages or more to easily locate the information you are looking for. I also find the prepare forms function very valuable. It allows me to tailor make forms for our clients that they can easily fill in electronically and email back...no more printing and manually filling out forms!
The only con that I can think of is occasionally I will run into font compatibility issues. Occasionally I will have to build from a PDF that has already been started and when I try to revise the text, I will get a notification that the font initially used is no longer available. not a huge problem...I usually just change the font and no more problems.
The best feature is text editing, but you can edit the images, crop the page, add pages, delete pages, copy pages, a lot of different things. I have used the text editing function to copy text from a PDF file and paste it into another program in order to change the format of our corporate brand. I also love the option to export to an image. This is very useful when a pdf is not printed or it matters as it is in my design program. More than just a PDF platform, Adobe Acrobat DC also works as an eSignature solution (which saves a lot of time). You can send documents to recipients located anywhere in the world and put your legally binding signatures without effort. This is extremely valuable to me when I work with clients on the go.
Overall, the program has a very simple feel to it, but is actually a bit more complex than one would imagine. Once you get the hang of it, it is simple. There seems to be a learning curve, however.
I use Acrobat Reader pretty much every day. I produce CAD drawings in PDF format to send to manufacturers and issue internally within our company. The best concept of Adobe Reader is the quality of the text, borders, etc as these are vectorized which means the quality doesn't degrade as you increase the magnification. Also, the PDF page is exactly as the author created it, the text, borders, pictures etc are in exactly the same place as when it was created (like a snapshot) and these dont 'jump' around when it is opened on another machine (like in Word for example).
I actually dont have any negative comments with this program. Its very quick and reliable and extremely useful in my day to day usage.
Adobe Reader DC is compatible to both MAC and Windows operating systems. This enables users to send their documents easily without worrying about compatibility. The other advantage of Adobe is that it is free software hence no cost associated with using adobe. It facilitates easy document access because of its compatibility with several devices ranging from personal computers, ipads and smart phones. Adobe Reader DC is flexible because it allows PDF documents to be converted to other formats such as MS word format. It have some features which enables highlighting and making comments on the document.
The disadvantage of Adobe is that it makes navigation boring and laborious sometimes. Adobe may be difficult to install to some android devices.
Acrobat reader is one of the most used pdf reader in the industry. Adobe is a great company and their product is of top tier. Best feature is that you can get the acrobat reader for free and start reading pdf documents at once. It is very easy to use and I can zoom in and out at ease without compromising the quality of the text and readability. Though we do not have the full version I can still highlight texts and comment on different sections of the document and share that with my colleagues. Acrobat reader. I have used the premium version a few times and that is jam packed with a lot more features. If one can spend money on license premium version gives access to editing the pdf, converting to pdf, merging and splitting the documents and so on. premium version also can take a pdf document that does not have a recognizable text and analyze and convert it to one. Not many people know about this feature but it super nice when one is dealing with scanned documents. Acrobat reader is also available on app platform and hence once can access documents on phone or tablet as well.
The biggest feature I do not like about acrobat on the free version is that I cannot re save the document on top of the old one and overwrite it. I always have to save it as a new filename and go back the delete the old copy. It is a small price to pay for the features but it does become annoying. Besides that in the premium version acrobat reader does not have the option to compress files so the size can be decreased. It becomes an issue when there are too many graphical images on the file and it becomes too big to email and share among peers.
It's SO EASY to use. My company gave me eCopy for free and it's the most difficult thing... It doesn't work as well as Acrobrat Reader DC. So I purchased a monthly subscription because it takes me less time to make my presentations. I always am using document merge or organizing pages because I want to make 1 presentation out of multiple PDFs. If I catch a mistake, I just edit it. And it's not a big deal to do it... it's just easy.
I hate how expensive it is... I wish there was a cheaper version if I am using it for work and provide a work email address instead of using it for personal use.
When a PDF is created, the program stores every detail and part of the format within the same file including the images, the space, images and sources, this eliminates one of the obstacles to share documents since the other types of files require that the other computers have installed the same sources and with the risk of losing the format when they open in a different program, the files can be seen and used in the same way as in any computer when it opens regardless of whether it is Windows, Mac OS or mobile devices.
Locked documents, users who open the PDF file can not edit the file, the program allows users to complete forms in their files but can not change the text or format. This makes the files a bad choice to save them as drafts or to use it within a team, unless everyone has the program installed, as an alternative solution you can work on a file in another program initially and convert it to PDF later.
Acrobat Reader DC by Adobe Systems is a free program that enables you to work with PDFs. Even though the program is free, it includes a number of great features. Users can view PDFs add comments. Adding comments is a great feature, particularly if you are using PDFs for business. Your customers or team members can easily highlight sections and make annotations. Acrobat Reader DC also enables you to print PDFs, another great feature. Lastly, users can sign PDFs with Acrobat Reader DC. This is a terrific feature for those dealing with legal documents that can be expedited by e-signatures.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. The free version of Acrobat lacks the bells and whistles of Acrobat Pro. For example, you cannot export PDFs to Excel or Word. Nor can you password protect your PDFs with Acrobat Reader. For those needing more functionality, purchasing Acrobat Pro is wise. But for those of us who basically want to read and comment on PDFs, the free program, Acrobat Reader DC, is perfect.
I love how many different functions there are with the program. Our marketing team uses it exclusively in lieu of Bluebeam because of it's functionality and options - particularly editing PDFs and reducing large files.
It does so much but sometimes the menus can be a little confusing. It would also be great if there was a way to manually compress some pages but not all when reducing a file size.
Acrobat Reader DC is a standard for sharing Documents with people all over the world. It is a free software everybody can download in the Internet to open PDF-Documents. It is the original and still for me the easiest way to share informations, contracts, illustrations, etc. with my team, with prospects and friends. It is easy to add comments and ideas in this documents and share it with people involved without any problems with program incompability. I love the Acrobat Reader App for my Mobile Phone and the possibility to scan documents and convert to PDF-Files with Adobe Scan.
It is very hard to find something that I do not like about this software. Especially with the possibility to get the Adobe Acrobat, with which you can create and edit PDF-Documents, for professional use with an Abo-Model, which makes it affordable not only for companies, but for individuals, where you can cancel the subscription monthly. What I wonder is why Adobe still do not have his own software like MS Word, Google Docs, etc.. I have still issues with creating writable formulars, because converting from MS Word to PDF is not hundred percent working. Anyway this critic is about Adobe Acrobat. The Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is amazing.
This software is very useful in the company not only because it allows to convert the documents whose protection is mandatory since the data that needs to be protected are of high importance, but it also intervenes in the editing process that is important when modifying aspects Relevant and can be done very quickly and evaluate the aspects to be modified or that want to improve a particular document, other advantages that the tools of editing as well as visualization are very comfortable and adapted to the needs of the user.
Until now, no relevant aspect in the use of this software, rather it has seemed very useful to me and one of the tools that I trust the most when I want to use my PDF documents.
It will automatically search the file extension
Automatically search the files and open it it's file extension is .pdf
Before I started using Adobe I would send all my documents including those with reports including graphs with Microsoft word. I use Microsoft Word 2013; the problem I had is that according to the client I sent it to they would not see the info as it would be distorted dependent on if they were using an earlier version of Microsoft Word. Acrobat Reader DC streamlined this process, so no matter which client I send a report to they would be able to open the document and see the content without any distortion. The plus side to this is it is actually cloud based now through adobe so group members can have access with permission to all the content I need them to have access to instead of me emailing it.
I love using Adobe Reader DC I just wish a bit more basic options like those available in the pro version could be available in the regular version but that's just me I'm a bit of a freebie. But this cloud version hands down is the best in terms of functionality.
I have been using Acrobat Reader DC for many years and love how Adobe integrated productive features. I particularly love how Acrobat DC allows me to read, edit, create, and sign documents. My favorite tool is the "rich media" feature that embeds videos into PDF documents. As an artist, it is imperative to share my work with clients and prospective clients easily and fast. Also, with Acrobat Reader DC you can combine and create single or multiple PDF files. You can export files to Word and share documents for review. Signing and filing forms are easy. More importantly, the "protect" feature allows you to customize the level of security you want on your document so you can share them without the worry of identity or material theft.
If you work online, a lack of and/or slowing of internet connectivity makes it impossible to get your files. The best way to use Adobe Acrobat DC is to download the app onto your computer or phone.
The Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a straightforward PDF viewer. As a free software it offers basic functionality for scrolling through pdf documents, commenting on files, and highlighting important sections. The signature feature is also extremely useful when electronically signing documents.
What is lacking though is the ability to combine PDFs, or rearrange pages within a single document. These features are reserved for the Acrobat Pro DC, which requires a monthly subscription. The ability to combine PDFs, or just generally modify a PDF, is an extremely useful tool when working with multiple PDF files. It is disappointing to see that some of these basic yet practical features are not included in the base version of Acrobat Reader DC.
Historically, Acrobat Reader has been slow to open. Although that issue is mostly fixed, there are still many times when Acrobat Reader doesn't open quickly. Honestly, I expect a PDF reader to open almost instantly, especially with a fast PC and an SSD. It's just not acceptable to me to know have a small program like this open quickly.
You need adobe for almost everything now. Everyone sends files PDF. If you don't have adobe, you're going to have a heck of a time opening those files, reading them, or editing them. I love adobe because it's a no nonsense, easy way to open your PDF files, print them, and comment on them. I use it daily for work. I love that you can type into some of the forms before printing as well because the files look neat, clean and professional. I have been very happy with adobe and am sure that I will use it for many years to come. It is quite the lifesaver.
I have no issues with adobe. Any issues that I have are always related to updates, or my own PC. I've had issues with some of my older computers not properly opening but it doesn't have to do with adobe itself, just the particular computer that I am using. Luckily there are forums out there that can give you support.
I like all the functions that are available in Adobe (I have been using Adobe Acrobat DC, which might be a different version of Adobe Reader DC). Adobe has a lot of functionality and it relatively easy to use. It is a necessity for doing business in my opinion because so many downloads and websites require it.
I don't like that I have to pay a monthly subscription fee. I would prefer to pay one flat fee for a product instead of paying in perpetuity for it. Also, I have run into a few snags with the functionality of it. When filling in documents, it seems to have a mind of its own sometimes - fonts change, spacing changes, typing goes vertical instead of horizontal. It can be frustrating at times.
The software is faster that other PDF readers. Its relatively small in size as well. It has basic but handy features like bookmarks, underline, highlight etc.
Most of the important features such as PDF editing, page organization, file conversion require a premium subscription. And its not affordable for many nonprofit organization such as ours.
Adobe reader is the one of the best document to read the pdf document. Now a days most of the people like official or students read all the type of document and book in our device where adobe reader is used to read all pdf documents. Its comments feature which can highlight, mark, annotation and select text and the watermarking very good and impressive. It can install in all device like phone pc laptop etc and not take too much space. In which advanced search system is very impressive we can search the page with specific text. it allows us to customize security settings such as prohibiting printing or editing and its also shows the pdf document generated by which software.
It is not fully free like when we want to convert the document pdf to other type like docx, rtf, xlsx or other format we need to purchase a licence. We can not edit the document also without purchase its licence. It is difficult to use for beginner when edit the pdf by using its tools.
I have been using Adobe reader for years and have found it to be a very useful application. I may recive a document in PDF and want to reuse it I am able to copy the portion and add it to another document then resave the file without any issues. I love that this program gives you the ability to edit and manipulate PDFs, something that was almost impossible otherwise. The ability to combine PDFs, edit them, create them, organize them is a plus. There are many options which I didnt even know were possible. The ability to reduce PDFs or export as images is very nice. I also enjoy the scanned text option to allow searchable PDFs which is a nice feature.
I think that Adobe should implement optical character recognition which I thinkwould be helpful. The other thing is that it cannot split a pdf file which has several pages into separate pdf documents this would have been a great feature.
I love the stylus support that Adobe now offers with even the free version of its software. Annotating notes on journal articles or student assignments has become pretty effortless.
The sidebar UI is clunky. A lot of the options are not well labelled or don't function in quite the manner I thought they should. This is mostly a learning curve issue, in that it extends the learning curve a little further than it should for new users. But even now, when I am familiar with the software I don't like the sidebar. It'd be better with half the functions as only accessible through drop-downs.
Being both a graphic designer and working on the sales and logistics side of my company, I use Acrobat all day for a variety of purposes. I am constantly working with PDFs from artwork to sales proposals, to freight quotes to internal company documents. Acrobat Reader lets communicate in the basic language of grahpic design and business communciatoin which is the PDF. It lets me email critical information contained in electronic files so I can distribute them to customers, suppliers or team members or so I can file them just for my own record keeping.
I do have some issues with the editing features/tools found in Acrobat Reader so I use the full version of Acrobat more regularly. I do wish the Adobe formatted Acrobat to function and appear more like both Illustrator and InDesign. This is not a major flaw as most people don't have the familiarity with those programs as I do. I just find that Adobe should try to make its products more similar than they do at this time so you don't seem to move out of the Adobe world when moving between their graphic design apps.
I used Acrobat Reader for three years during college. I used to avoid textbook pdfs before coming across Acrobat Reader, because I wanted to take notes on my textbook and other PDF viewers either didn't come with an editor or the editors were not user-friendly. With Acrobat Reader, I can take notes on my textbook document, put bookmarks and highlight the important parts. It is also very handy when it comes to editing lecture slides. Just download the class lectures and take notes on it during the lecture, very easy! I also really like the fact that I can see all my comments in one place and when I click on a comment, it takes me right to the linked page. Besides studying, it is very useful for filling out forms. There is no need to print a document, fill it by hand and scan it back to the computer. I can easily fill out any form and even sign it with the electronic signature feature. It is very useful if you are dealing with a lot of paperwork.
The software can be slow to load at times.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is a must have software for almost everyone who has a computer or laptop. It is an essential requirement if you step into the corporate world. It is very easy to use and is compatible with most devices. As a matter of fact a lot of websites provide downloads in pdf form in the current day. The best thing about this software is that it allows me to highlight important phrases and add notes. It also keeps track of the previously used documents and allows easy access which is a great feature.
The one big drawback I find in this software is the inability to overwrite in the free version. The paid version allows a whole lot of complex features which forms a huge difference between the paid version and the free version. The monthly payment process is also an irritating fact. Most people including me, would prefer paying for a software at one point during the purchase and finish it off there which would much less of an irritation.
What is there not to like?? Adobe is a must have. it is the Portable Document Format application. It is also the best. Reader is great for reading and reviewing documents but Adobe Pro is the best pdf application of all time. The features allow you to do things with documents you can only imagine. I use this all time - at work in and in my personal life. INDISPENSABLE.
The free version has no functionality but its worth paying for pro.
My organization uses PDF documents on a daily basis. As the Training Manager, training related documents coming to me are automatically scanned to me as a PDF file. This makes it easy to title and save to a specified location. The real plus, is when you click save, the last few locations you saved something to will automatically come up for an option, making it much faster to save different files to specific locations for later use. This also makes it easier to find them. If you've forgotten the name on the file, you just simply need to remember which folder you put it in.
I don't really see any negatives to Adobe. Its a free software, but if your willing to pay you can get some pretty nice features added to it including a movie/video suite that helps to make training videos for my organization.
Sometimes I am using PDF export features and most time it is not work perfectly. I like to say i am using this software in long time and i haven't any major dislike about this software. I am recommend this software to anyone who need good PDF manipulating software.
Acrobat Reader is a useful PDF reader, and I've relied on it to securely open PDFs that contain sensitive information. It's also incredibly useful to edit a PDF, but for that you do need to upgrade to a paid version. It's a functional, appealing interface to navigate PDFs, and it's generally pretty intuitive to use.
While overall easy to use, I don't always easily find the functionalities I'm looking for. Sometimes I have to click around for quite a while to locate the tool I need. I also wish that the editing option was available in the free plan! I think a basic editing tool could be included in the free plan while other more advanced options could stay in the paid plan.
I work remotely as an editor and technical writer, so I spend a lot of time working with documents that I need to add comments to, underline passages in, reword and rework, etc. Acrobat Reader makes this process very easy for me using the Comment option. I can highlight in multiple colors, underline, add "sticky notes", and so on. Some of this even happens automatically, if I type in the document or backspace over existing text, the strike through appears or a little tab showing I added text. The comments allow you to quickly see what pages need attention by letting you click on an annotation in the sidebar and navigating directly to the page. You can send annotated versions back and forth and are able to see the document at the same time as you're viewing what others have recommended. I cannot imagine doing my job without it.
How some bizarre reason, saving can be cumbersome. I often am prompted to Save As when I select Save from the File menu, and sometimes comments get lost. I very much enjoy that I can select the highlight text option and double click on words or select passages, without having to reselect the highlight text option to continue using it. However, the strike through and underline options don't work like this, and have to be reselected every time.
Working in an editorial line is a challenge that is initially manifested in the updating of contents and their revision. For this you have to have a lot of bibliographical material. Adobe Acrobat Reader is an excellent complement for me, since I can access any bibliographic material from the comfort of my pc, allowing me to review different approaches and perspectives according to the literary and intellectual orientation of different writers.
Thanks to its diverse range of texts that have been transferred to the PDF format, I can have in my control any book or author that searches easily and with a friendly format such as PDF. At the same time, Acrobat Reader develops its documents so that they can be taken anywhere thanks to its format and light weight.
What I like most about this program is that it allows converting a document into a non-editable file at the time that we need to keep its properties, such as image texts or the formats of it. It is also very good since it allows certain tools to combine several files that are in that format, as well as to transform its format into another one that allows editing. As they have updated the versions, they have been adding tools to incorporate some elements if necessary, including comments, making measurements, entering texts. In many cases, saving a document, for example, that contains images in PDF format, allows you to maintain a good resolution but reduces the size of storage, facilitating the sending of e-mails, for example.
One of the disadvantages is that to be able to view this type of file, you must have the program installed, which would make it difficult to see if the user you want to send it to or if you need to open it on another computer and it is not installed, we risk not to be able to open it, since at the same time its discharge can become a bit slow. Sometimes the computer can hang up when trying to download a pdf file. Sometimes to be able to visualize a file of this type can generate problems if it is of another version.
By experience, by expertise and for so many years in the market, there is definitely no more reliable program to handle PDF than Adobe Reader. although I used the basic version for many years when I upgraded to the Pro version I got a lot of profits because, for example, this allows optimizing the PDF documents for the web and for mobile devices, making my digital marketing work easier. anyway, the basic version is excellent, it almost meets all the needs
managing new functions is not always easy. for example, when interacting with Adobe flash player it cost me a bit of difficulty to understand how is the process to insert multimedia elements. In general, its use should be a bit more intuitive to facilitate the user experience. Of course, once the respective process is understood, working with this software is really quick and hassle-free.
Adobe Acrobat reader has been active for a very long time now but people don't actually know the usefulness of this amazing software tool, with acrobat reader you can view portable document files(PDFs), you can edit existing files, you can change document type from one format to another, and do so much more, it has a very clean and simple user interface that makes it easy to use and very straightforward, what i like most about this software is the ability to group any pdf into chapters and display them at the side of your reading pane, thereby making it easy to switch from one chapter to another with a single click on the side of your screen, this software is one of the best document viewing softwares out there and a software you don't want to miss on your computer.
Well i have to admit that acrobat reader has been a very helpful and wonderful tool, but the design of the software should be more appealing than it is, although keeping things simple rocks, but the Adobe team can do better than this regarding the user interface design.
Acrobat Reader DC is a paid version of the ubiquitous and free Acrobat reader. It is a monthly subscription, with a discount for paying annually. There are 4 sets of features that are not found in Reader: ability to create de novo pdfs, ability to lock and password protect PDFs, ability to electronically sign documents in real time, and - the one I requested Reader DC for - the ability to export pdfs into Excel and Word formats. The export function is worth the price alone, from my perspective. It allows one to highlight a table of data in a PDF and by right-clicking export it to a spreadsheet in Excel. For the most part, the resulting table requires no editing. This is in marked contrast to trying to copy and paste from the PDF, which inevitably involves extensive re-editing and correcting. The tables can be multi-page and still work.
My biggest complaint is that I often accidentally end up in edit mode (one of the other major features of the software). Instead of highlighting something to copy, I am suddenly overtyping it. However, since I have not yet learned how to get into editing mode, this may be more user error. I do anticipate eventually using this feature to make changes or updates in PDF documents for which the original Powerpoint or Word document is not available. (A common scenario is when a Powerpoint is too large to email to remote participants, but there are small changes after rendering the pdf.)
This software is definitely very helpful for my current position. It is a great format for printing documentation so that the print quality is very high and compatible with most software even our current HRIS System-Workday. Another great function is the versatility to change it to other formats such as excel, powerpoint and RTF so this allows for cross bordering formatting for other projects. It is fantastic for documents that need to be signed electronically especially for my management team since we have our team spread across the globe so this process makes it very accessible to them. The redaction function is also wonderful since we can hide PHI information on any PDF forms to protect our employee's sensitive information. The editing function is also useful if we are sent documentation from a customer or vendor that needs to be edited to our standards.
There are no downsides to this software that I can see since it is a easy to use and pick up.
Acrobat Reader DC integrates well with google drive that can pull up a .pdf on my phone in seconds.
Changing from a personal to a team account was a bit redundant, but okay. Once that was done it was cool to have a little picture pop up when people edited things.
I started using Acrobat reader when I began my ACCA program. I use it to open my PDF notes. Acrobat reader is the most fast, reliable and easy software which enables me to access my notes in a very quick way. Acrobat reader has a number of helpful tools such as zoom in and out which enables me to reduce or increase the size of text and page in order to read my notes clearly. It also has a search function that enables me to quickly search any text , word or page within my PDF notes ,thus saving me a lot of time rather than going through each and every page. Apart from using it to read my notes , Acrobat reader also helps me to open PDF files for work purposes and also make some changes as would be directed by my superiors. It gives me access to most recent files which I consider very convenient. Acrobat Reader doesn't require internet access that means that anyone can access it anywhere and anytime. I highly recommend Acrobat reader as the most reliable and useful software
Apart from a lot of benefits that comes with using Acrobat reader , there are very few disadvantages. It requires skills in order to use it efficiently. Users with little or no experience may find it very difficult to open a document and make some changes to it. Acrobat Reader also has a mini floating toolbar beneath its page which usually disappear when the user wants to put it in the upper bar , this can make it a little harder for the user to to use as well as deactivate it especially users with little experience with the software
Adobe Acrobat Reader is universal, in that it is used by just about everyone, and integrates very well with other systems, especially Microsoft Office products. We frequently create documents in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, and want to share them with others, but want to do so in a locked-down, non-editable format. Adobe Acrobat Reader allows us to do that very easily and users are almost always familiar and comfortable with that format.
The ability to make review notes or highlights on documents, to split or merge pages, or to copy columns of data from an Adobe Acrobat reader file, often requires additional software or upgrades, which often are not available to all employees because of cost. This limits the potential use of the tool.
Acrobat Reader has variety of options and features that make working with pdf documents easier. “Find Text” option is a helpful option in this software which allows the user to find the required words and phrases within few seconds. Customised zoom level option is another special feature in Acrobat Reader. It enables user to view the document in preferred size. In addition, users can add notes where necessary using the option called “Add sticky notes”. Digital signature is another unique option in this software that allows users to include signature in their documents.
I have been using the software for several years and I have never experienced any difficulties with Acrobat Reader.
I use Adobe Acrobat Reader DC for my job at a weekly newspaper. I like that I am able to open PDF files from advertisers and review the types of fonts they've used in their files and find out whether I am able to match those fonts if recreating or reformatting their ad is needed. I like the features and tools Acrobat provides, like the Output Preview tool and the Move or Make Changes to Object tool. I have used Acrobat for a few years now and I appreciate how the tools are kept the same even with updates to the program.
Our company recently updated our computer systems and software so the previous version of Acrobat was updated to the newest version of Acrobat. This new version has taken some getting used to, specifically the layout of the tools within the program. Each week, we make use of the optimization and combining tools in Acrobat to prepare our e-editions for our newspaper. After updating my computer and Acrobat program, I at first found it difficult to navigate the new list of tools within the program. While this took some getting used to, I believe I now have a better idea on where tools are located, but still miss the layout of previous versions of Acrobat.
It is so easy to modify or edit PDFs using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC. Users no longer have to make changes in a text document and "save as PDF". This is so helpful in cutting down time and unnecessary steps when working. Further, the software's text recognition feature is quick, generally accurate and extremely helpful in copying text from a PDF to any other document.
The software is not necessarily intuitive to use, and does require some trial and error in order to learn to use properly.
Everyone needs this free program. I find it reliable and use it daily to review documents. It is simple and easy to use. What I like most is that there is no cost and that it runs consistently. We use Mac OS and I would highly recommend taking the few minutes to install this as it is more dependable for viewing PDFs than Preview or other free softwares... especially if the form is fillable. Plus, the cloud services make it super convenient to track your document on any device.
Since it's a free software, you only get the very basic tools... like adding comments and highlighting. You won't have the option to edit or export the PDF on this program. If you only need the program for view PDFs, then you are set. But, very quickly you will find yourself wanting to make a quick edit, export to Excel or to Word, merge multiple PDFs, etc. So if you are able to, upgrading to the Acrobat Pro version means you have more editing options. The other con is that it is part of the Adobe suite so expect frequent updates that you need to download... or deal with sync issues or some lags.
Adobe Acrobat DC allows for several ways to secure and protect your documents, including setting a password to open a document, preventing readers from editing the PDF, as well as ability to redact sensitive information. We became a 'paperless' environment years ago and use this to create PDFs of everything from flowcharts to manuals for the team.
There is not really anything I do not like about Adobe Acrobat DC. I have fond it's really just a matter of taste. I also use Nitro PDf which I like very much as well - in fact, I have Adobe on my laptop for work but Nitro on my personal laptop.
The Adobe Acrobat reader is very useful and powerful PDF viewer and editor software and I'm using this as my default PDF viewer for the last couple of years on both my smartphone and PC. The Fill & Sign feature on Adobe is very useful tool and its a time saver for filling documents. The Editing feature and page organizer are some key best features on Adobe. The cloud service of adobe acrobat reader helped me on various occasions to transfer files between phone and PC without any failures. The improved OCR recognitions on Adobe is very accurate on blurred/handwritten formats when compared to the other market available PDF viewers.
Still Adobe mobile version needs lots of improvements on UI departments. It's really hard to organize the old files within the app and it consumes more battery for longterm uses. As a medical student, most of the time I'm dealing with PDF files and hopefully, I'm waiting for better upgrades on Adobe in the near future.
I often deal with performance and profile reviews at my workplace with a lot of information to read, but with some focus points to mainly keep in mind. With Adobe Reader, I am able to highlight specific pieces of information permanently in an existing PDF document and save it for future review. It allows me to make these highlights in different colors and also add notes with different symbols, whose colors can also be modified. This is great because it helps me prioritize information and ensure my focus is where it needs to be. I am also studying online and I have found these features incredibly useful for note taking in my PDF documents. On my desktop, I like how Adobe keep records of the last documents I have been dealing with which I can easily access from its initial window. If you can access your personal cloud, you are able to access documents across devices in case you need to do that.
I like the coloring features, but I would like that the desktop options to change colors were as easy to perform as it is to perform on my iPad. A few extra clicks are extra effort that though it is worthwhile, it is effort I would rather not have. Obviously then its reading limitation is something that could be improved. Modifications or direct notes on documents are not as easy to perform and often require other software to do so.
I do like the strength of the features in Adobe DC. It is extremely powerful and let’s you do almost anything you would ever need to do. The feature I use the most is the ability to move pages around, eliminate them altogether, or even combine with another document.
One has to launch no less than 10 apps to do what should be available from the main app. I was also never certain if I had launched the right app (the read only version does nothing but the launch icon is almost identical to the DC version). I also hated having to always switch from their “creative cloud” storage. AND Adobe subscriptions have become very pricey
Acrobat Reader is, to me, the golden standard for all things PDF-related. It just flat out works. I am also a big fan of the digital signing capabilities it offers, which are used regularly in both my personal life for things like Insurance, etc, and in my professional life for contracts, agreements and statements of work.
The only complaint I can come up with is the cost. It is possible to get competing tools for free that will do most of the same things. However, you will definitely sacrifice some of the nice little perks that Adobe offers.
Acrobat Reader makes interaction with PDF files an easy thing. No technical experience needed, doesn’t matter if you are familiar with any adobe software, Acrobat Reader is very easy to use.
My first complaint about Acrobat Reader will be the big gap between the Free version and the Paid version. The free version only handle basic functions while the Paid version however offers complex functions which are thing you might need on a daily basis.
I love this program. It has such a simple and visually pleasing interface, and it's incredibly easy to use. The free version comes with a lot of useful functionality, such as the fill&sign feature that allows you to easily place a signature on the document. The paid versions have even more useful tools, like the ability to add hyperlinks. I used this when designing my resume to great effect. It is also incredibly convenient due to the fact that .pdf is such a widely accepted document format. I highly recommend this program.
Not necessarily a con, but to get the full use out of this program it really is necessary to have the paid version. It allows you to do so much more in terms of editing, but for basic use the free version does get by.
My favourite part of using this software is the ability to sign on documents electronically. We all know the drill; You receive a document, print it, scan it, then send it. Adobe Reader makes it all easier by giving you the option of signing a document while it's still on your screen! This means complete elimination of the printing and scanning process, saving a whole lot of time, effort and money (those saved pieces of paper accumulate quickly).
One major drawback is that when you open a PDF, you cannot edit the file. There are options to edit forms or sign signatures, but you can't change any text or formatting. This means you can't use Acrobat Reader for collaborative work, except all the other parties have Acrobat Reader.
What I dislike about Acrobat Reader DC is that the software sometimes does not let me view the files in a proper scale/size. It usually happens when I view my lecture presentations that were created on Microsoft PowerPoint and were converted into PDF files. When I try zooming in the file the texts, pictures and graphs on the file become too large and hard to read. When I do opposite and zoom out for example, they become too small to read. Therefore, it is sometimes hard to have your files in the perfect size/scale in order to read files comfortably.
With Adobe Acrobat DC I can create, edit, protect and view PDF documents from any device, be it a computer, tablet or smartphone through your application or browser regardless of which operating system uses Mac, Windows, Android or IOS, this from anywhere thanks to its function of document synchronization in the cloud, with Adobe Acrobat DC I can also fill out forms and sign them all with the solid security that Adobe provides me, in the same way I can share my PDF documents immediately by just add the email of the person to whom I wish to share them so they receive a link that sends them directly to the document and can review, comment and even sign it, as if that were not enough it also allows me to keep track of my shared PDF documents In an orderly manner, Acrobat DC also integrates with my office applications to convert my files to PDF documents with no problem, it should also be noted that thanks to its excellent design allows me to organize and view my PDF documents immediately. Really the most truthful and safe PDF document manager.
I can not say that I have found any weakness, simply the most versatile and robust PDF document handler I have used.
Reader is the definite step-brother to Acrobat Pro. They may resemble each other on the surface, but Reader lacks the substance of Pro. More on that later. It gets the job done according to its title. It is a PDF reader. No more, no less. Unfortunately, once you've tasted the possibilities of PDF editing in Pro, Reader will no longer satisfy. That being said, it has a clean interface and allows you to open and view PDF's. If that's all you need, Reader will do the trick. But I suspect you'll be wanting more soon.
Pro lets me combine PDF documents, extract and delete pages, annotate, and even edit text and images when push comes to shove. Reader does not allow for any of that functionality. It's cheating, I guess, when you think about the fact that PDF's are supposed to preserve the original layout. Pro lets me hack in and make almost any changes that are needed. So in that respect, I guess Reader is the more traditional "purist" option when it comes to PDF documents. I just find it's not enough.
Adobe Acrobat Reader is a very useful and important software for my company and the work that i do regularly. It enables me to display messages and pictures in PDF arrange, a standout amongst the most utilized organizations around the world. In my work is essential to deal with PDF reports, as it is a genuinely decent organization for the introduction of writings, research, and aftereffects of every one of the site investigations we do, our directors dependably ask for data in this sort of configuration. This product changes impeccably to my pace of work, PDF documents are very minimal, don't involve much space on the pc, are simple enough to peruse, and can be secured so other individuals outside my work setting don't duplicate or take the data.
One of the huge issues I have with this product is that it is exceptionally confounded to edit writings. Perhaps you can add some substance to some PDF, yet when you need to include expansive squares of content it turns out to be extremely entangled, and there are other programming that show improvement over PDF records. we can't use it for free and resizing will also be very complecated. but overall it's a good app that will help in all the way specially for a documentation specialist.
Adobe acrobat is the best document editing tool available in the market. Acrobat reader is usually used to read, edit, and create PDF files. Most of the PDF readers only allow read only mode while Adobe Acrobat offers editing mode. Users can add/ delete a page, crop a page, and create a new PDF from another file. Another good feature of Adobe Acrobat is creating PDF file from doc files. It supports pdf creator. Moreover, users can put comments, delete words, and highlights text in the PDF files using Acrobat. This software also supports forms and signature space. Users can ask for signatures in a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat. Overall, this is a very useful software for file management.
Like all the business software, Adobe Acrobat also has free and paid versions. The free version supports limited features (e.g., reading PDFs, highlighting texts, putting comments, etc.). The paid version supports more features which are useful. Other than that, there are no lagging in this software.
Theoretically free, able to handle different PDF versions, reasonable quick open, versatile printing options.
The version I review is 2019.010.20046.
These days , most of the files and documents are shared in the PDF formats which is easier to share, especially via email. As an online tutor and a teacher by profession I have a lots of PDF study materials to be used on a daily basis. The customized Zoom level option helps to view the document in the actual size preferred by the user. The customized Page number option helps to type in the page number and go directly to that particular page.
1. The trial version and full version is way too different with the options. (Covert to .doc / Edit PDF etc ) are not allowed in the trial version. 2. The price for a month is too high.
Whether you are creating your own pdf or need to take another's pdf to adjust it, you can Often times, someone sends me a pdf with errors. I don't have to waster precious time waiting on them if I can't and I can fix it myself. I always have to change docs to pdf's and it does it easily. The other great feature is binding a bundle of documents together. A life saver with copy jobs I send out to process. Saves me a ton of money as it means just one upload rather than many so I don't get charged additional fees. Then the flexibility of taking a pdf, using Tools and changing it to another type like an Excel. Magnificent!
It takes getting used to like what can I and can't do using things in Tools. Sometimes I'll want to Edit type come thing and can't get it lined up or I can't get it to "fix". There's a lot of trial and error. But when you get used to it, you can overcome the isues.
What I like about Acrobat Reader is how easy it is to use it, I use it daily in the office to open documents, in my spare time reading ebooks in pdf format, in bank procedures filling out forms in pdf format ...
the truth is that I have nothing bad to add about Acrobat Reader, it seems an indispensable tool, very dynamic and versatile.
Acrobat Reader DC is a great reader and editor for all types of documents. I've been using this for years for education and work-related business with little issue. Updates are quite frequent, and it has enough features to let me do what I need to within a short period.
The cons are quite extensive. First of all, the free and premium versions are very different, and the pro version is somewhat expensive as well. For reading, there are free solutions that are better, so it loses in that category. The software sometimes runs very poorly as well. Most of the features are quite limited, and the tools and options are extremely restricted. Unintuitive UI with little to help the user. Not user-friendly in the slightest & takes an additional couple steps to get things done which makes it difficult to edit documents in a short period. Common tools are not stored in memory, and its also hard to make favorite shortcuts for easy use. I don't think it's possible to do at all. Lots of polishing to do, even with the premium version.
This software makes viewing and editing PDF's a breeze if you need to send this to a client/boss for review and/or editing. This is a great tool for any non-designers unfamiliar with InDesign or whatever program you are using to create PDF's, as it allows for text edits and comments made by the viewer. Many times I would finish a project and send it to a boss who would work on final text edits just by simply using the Edit PDF Feature. The ability to change every element from a PDF to me is remarkable. If you need to make simple PDF's and don't have the time/need/want to learn any other program, Adobe Acrobat Reader is for you. I've also used this program to make an editable PDF (Prepare Form), and while the auto fill isn't perfect, it gets pretty close and saves you valuable time. I normally skip any other programs, and go straight to this one to make an editable form.
Using the free version compared to the Pro version is so vastly different and could be discouraging to potential customers.
Acrobat Reader has always been a software that has aroused mixed feelings among users: performance, usabilitity and capabilities. Adobe knows this and, although not in a hurry, has been implementing improvements.
You can not edit documents in the free version.
The benefits that I see from this software are the following:
The PDF files are quite difficult to edit since in many cases they are protected against writing, and in case, without being protected you can not edit, sometimes you can not copy these files.
While most people continue to use their browser to read and print PDFs, Adobe Acrobat Reader DC takes it to the next level.
There is not a whole lot to complain about as far as PDF readers go. Sometimes, when splitting documents, it would be nice to name documents based on a field found on each page rather than a name with a prefix.
The features and functionality are very limited. Recently, they've produced updates that allow you to create textboxes and place checkmarks, but that's about it (beyond highlighting). Unfortunately, these features are not very easy to find and even a user experienced with the program may have to do a little hunting to get what you're looking for. If you want the capability to create forms with embedded text entry fields, copy and paste letters from a .pdf file to a text editing file, or manipulate the form in any specific way, you're not going to find that with this product.
This new computer age has allowed this type of software to have a lot of value for the worker, researcher and planner. Among the benefits that I find in this program we can review documents in PDF format; books, forms, research instruments, legal documents among other documents of interest. And not only with the option of being able to see these documents, but also they can be elaborated, they can be protected or they can be left unlocked for the free use; can be exported to other environments such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and has the valuable tool of comments and opinions to improve the user experience
I do not have negative aspects that stand out beyond that sometimes I can not see the document online, or the printing is not as accurate as I expect it and a general criticism to some programs that is the inability to be able to observe them in other operative systems. These elements could be improved to have a more complete use of the software.
Some of the basic features are not available in the free version. You can't pay at once and get lifetime license as only montly subscription/license is available.
I am addicted to read books and scientific articles about enviroment, development and arts, and with Adobe Acrobat Reader I do not have any problems to download documents or buy books on the internte and just sit on my computer, tablet or smartphone and start reading what I most like. This a great app, because it is so simple to use, just open your files and you can underline, create figures to highlight and speciific topic and get an screenshot of any part of the document that generate an interest for you. You can also print a save the changes that you make in your documents in a very simple way.
The version that I have, Adobe Reader X has a little problem and that is that I cannot save the last point where I finish my read, so that means that I have to search manually where I stay in the book and continue my reading, I think that futures versions of the software can easily solve this problem.
I like the editing features in this software the most. I have used other versions of Adobe pdf and they were extremely limited in their features. If you basically need a viewer, this version is not for you. However, if you need to add pages, insert files, edit existing files, add signatures, reduce scan size, then this version is for you. The process is easy and the "Search Tools" feature allows you to find anything you need, even if you aren't sure what it may be called.
I can't think of anything I don't like about this software. If I had one complaint it would be about the Adobe Creative Cloud App that houses the Reader-DC. We have had issues with the number of users allowed on to each app at the same time. We frequently have to sign out, or it signs out a user and requires users to sign back in, without the option to remember the login and password of the users.
