The least I like about this software is the efficiency in reading scripture as far as keeping track of where you last read.

Where to start? The amount of resources at the top of your finger and all in one place? The books, commentaries, and other resources that come with the base package is worth much more than what you pay. They have almost every book you would purchase on Amazon and then you can have those tools open with multiple translations of Bibles, and whatever commentaries you want to use. I write sermons using Logos and they have tools that help with that as well!

I wish the interface was a bit more user friendly, but I have been told by many they really like it, so it might just be me.

Logos allows me to write sermons with greater depth in less time by bringing all my resources in one place. With the recent addition of the Sermon Builder and integration with Faithlife Proclaim, my workflow has been streamlined even further as I can now write it, build slides, and export them without ever having to leave Logos.

It is pricey. I was able to purchase it at a significant discount while a student, but it can get expensive quickly. I would still say it is worth the investment!

There is never a dull moment using this program

This is just the best program to study the bible. I love how my favorite books of theology, Bible dictionaries and commentaries are all in the same place. I can select a work and see all the inline search between my library's content and the passage i am reading. I can have so much depth on the translations, maps, culture perspective and political perspective. I really love the Psalms presentation, it let's me search psalms thru authors, themes and more!

It can be very overwhelming with all the options that it has. It does has some learning curve and i wish it had a night mode in the program it self.

Logos has been a huge help both in my graduate studies and my ministry. The team at Logos has done the hard work of compiling and digitizing a vast library of resources and packaged it in a way that allows pastors and students to find and cite what they need quickly both for academic and ministerial use.

Logos has a big learning curve for the advanced features. If you are simply wanting to look up a Bible passage and some commentary, it is easy, but if you want to dig deeper into the feature list, it will definitely take some study and practice. I have seen that Logos is highly customizable, it just takes some time to get it set how you want it.

Ability to integrate books and licenses from my older accounts. If I purchase other DVD, CD or other books, I can insert the license to my Logos account. I use Logos from my phone, tablet, and PC.

The users interface is better than before, but still not easy to use. it is not intuitive and you need to speed time learning the interface and customize the functions.

Logos provides all the necessary resources available for accurate and in-depth study of the Bible at your finger-tips. Logos has been a go-to program for my personal study as a pastor for well over a decade. From their word-studies to the available commentaries, Logos is the one stop shop when it comes to Bible-study applications. Because Logos has so much to offer (i.e., original languages, courses, lexicons, commentaries, sermons, journals and multiple translations), getting to know the flow of the software can be a bit overwhelming at first. However, it is rather user-friendly and intuitive.

I mean there really isn't a better software for researching for papers or preaching. IF you need to do an exhaustive hermeneutical word study on Paul's 1st letter to the church at Corinth and why he said what he said to women in that community this is your software! IT is great and works great, however, there are times like microsoft products where it feels like you need to be a programmer to find how to do something like searching for a function like scriptures that use the same phrases or words is pretty hard to find.

Sometimes the ease of use is tested like a lot of programmers who use microsoft language this is clunky and a little difficult to navigate when you get down to the granular level!

By far the most amazing part of Logos is the ability to transport your library of books with you wherever you go. Their app works well, so you have the ability to read, cross reference, or check something as long as you have your phone. The software remembers where you left off in a book and opens it right back to that spot. The word search feature is helpful, as are the exegetical tools. In someways, there is almost too many things that Logos can do for you!

The number one problem is that Faithlife is always upgrading the Logos platform and offering you 'upgrades' and 'new packages' of material. Fortunately you previous materials all transfer over the new system, but at times you get confused about what version you have versus what the latest version is and if you have to pay for this upgrade or if it is a free upgrade. This software is very in depth and integrated. All library books are fully searchable. The language tools are fairly easy to use. The search feature is very good and creates a lot of options for reading and research. There is plenty of resources here that everyday pastors' will find incredibly useful.

It's a bit expensive, which will limit some from being able to access of the great features. That being said, it's worth the price if you're able to afford it. The layout is a bit clunky sometimes with several windows on one screen and I find that difficult to navigate. It could be that I use a 13" laptop but I suspect it would be the same on a larger screen. I can't say I have a different idea of how it should work so this criticism is not significant.

I really like Logos Bible Software. I love being able to access so many commentaries in one place. I just wish I knew how to do more with it, because I know it has so much more to offer.

TONS of resources. It's got commentaries, dictionaries, lexicons, ebooks, and on and on. I mostly use it for the commentaries. You can search passages, and get all kinds of resources that pop up. You can also search topics, and get incredible info there, too. They also have a store where you can buy more resources, and they give away free books every month.

There is so much that Logos does, that what I use it for only scratches the surface of all it's capabilities. There are training videos that you can pay for to learn how to do more, but it would be nice to find some free resources to train me on how to do more. If there are free trainings, I don't know about them.

There is SO much that Logos can do. If you are in ministry and spend lots of time studying the Bible, you absolutely need Logos. It enhances your study by a lot. Working with Biblical languages (Hebrew and Greek) are so much easier with Logos. You can even add extra resources to Logos if the basic isn't enough for you.

I wasn't lying when I said Logos has and does everything. The problem with this is that it runs so, so slow on your computer. Worth the extra patience though.

Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by the amount of content in Logos' software. This can cause confusion and not knowing where to start sometimes.

Logos software truly is like nothing else on the market. As an infrequent speaker, I have had the privilege of using this software from time to time (borrowing from a friend). No other program on the market comes even close to comparing to Logos. I love using it to research in-depth topics and learning more about historically relevant facts, practices, individuals, and events. I am blown away at how comprehensive the program is.

Use weekly ...I do a lot of Biblical research for my church, as I write Bible studies for one of our pastors. this software has helped me immensely when it comes to cross referencing, finding concordances. expository or just certain quotes that illustrate my points well. I purchased this initially as a trial. We loved it, so I ended up purchasing for our church.

I honestly don't have any bad reviews for this. It is adequately meeting all of our needs thus far.

I love the ease of finding a lot of information about a text quickly on one screen. I also enjoy being about to work across my desktop, tablet, and phone somewhat seamlessly.

The software itself is expensive. Also, the resources are costly; it is almost always cheaper to buy a used commentary from the internet than to buy the same commentary in Logos. Finally, the newer version is a memory hog and runs slow, even on my fairly new laptop.

I have used Logos most consistently when doing word studies of the Hebrew or Greek roots of the English translations. I thoroughly depend on that tool when doing sermon prep. I also use the digitized versions of commentaries regularly, which helps me avoid taking large books with me to coffee shops when I am preparing a sermon or teaching. I have been generally happy with the ways that Logos supplements my study.

The nature of the program and its many features makes the mobile app somewhat difficult to navigate--Logos is much more easily used on a desktop or laptop computer.

Massive amounts of content (unmatched by any other program you could spend money on).

This program is not cheap. Even the cheapest level you can come in at is pricy.

First of all, Logos has been around for nearly as long as I can remember. I recall my father purchasing Logos in the 80s and they are still pioneering software based Bible study today. Logos offers a few different levels of service depending on the desired depth of study and with each level is included a very extensive library of additional resources that I have found very helpful in year past. Even the free version includes a generous amount of available resources. They have also done a lot of work in recent years to make the software even more powerful and attractive. It also provides a VERY neat new citation tool when you are referencing sources and it will automatically format the reference for your paper!

It wasn't the most attractive software to use, but what it lacked in appearance it makes up with usefulness.

The Logos App is easily the best Bible app I've ever used. From the early days, with its stiff interface and difficult switching between documents, to now a seamless transition between multiple windows of varying documents. In addition to these latest upgrades that make its UI much more intuitive and like a web-browser, the added functionality of being able to lookup a word in its original Greek or Hebrew language by merely highlighting the word or phrase is outstanding and not found in its competitors.

Two gripes - (1) No access to the NIV. Understandably a money issue with Zondervan, but still it would be nice to have in its collection of translations. (2) I wish more translations or documents were available offline. When I'm in a plane or somewhere without data, I am stuck with two or three very dated translations.

The main benefit I get from this software is knowledge into scripture that I could not gain in other ways, forms, or mediums. I enjoy this program!

When I want to get a meaning of a specific word in the Bible, I have used Logos a lot. I am not done with COSS yet, and this program gets me ahead of the game with interpretation of scripture. I love using Logos!

Like with Evernote, I do not see a lot of weaknesses with this program at all. I know local pastors and elders in our Conference who use this program all the time.

The logos team gets 5 stars for functionality. It has so many features that are extremely useful. For anyone who is studying theology, it is a total must. It needs some training to get used to the software, but it is such a good place to get so many resources in one place and to compare findings. Googling commentaries often leads to personal journals, blogs and Bible Studies, so having a trusted place to find so many resources is like going to the Biblical section in a library. Being able to easily compare Biblical translations is also an extremely useful tool.

While this software is packed with features, the design is a big old school. It is definitely not intuitive and requires quite a bit of training in order to really get accustomed to the system.

If you are looking for a program that will make study and message prep that much easier and save you hours of time, Logos is for you! Loads of features, easy to use, and amazing resources and

Only real con is the price. Though I believe it is worth the cost it can definitely be a big pill to swallow. If you won't use this weekly or even monthly, it may not be worth it. As one that doesn't preach on a weekly basis, I didn't fully buy in but only because I couldn't justify the cost. If you do preach or study on a regular basis, this is the software you will want!

I appreciate the breadth of resources; the special collections (i.e., Reformed/Baptist/etc. focus packages); access to theological journals; and the assimilation of all your resources for amazingly fast searches. I also really appreciate the mobile apps.

The app will sometimes lag or hang; and it is a very large program, so it takes a lot of disk space on my computer. The collections, while nice, are also expensive -- at least equal to the cost of printed books. The convenience, though, usually outweighs the cost.

The number of resources and the features that Logos makes available is astounding! There is just about nothing that you cannot do in terms of Bible study with this software.

It's a resource hog. I have to close down almost everything else and it still runs slowly.

Searching ability is super intuitive, as a newer pastor I needed something fairly simple to use to find things in a hurry and Logos made that simple.

Even still feels a bit overwhelming at times, you have alot of tools at your disposal if you know what you are doing (and I'm still getting there lol).

Who doesn't like having their entire library right at their finger tips? I work at coffee shops a lot during the week to prep for teachings and sermons and carrying around a bunch of large commentaries or dictionaries really gets old (and attracts a lot of unwanted attention). But with Logos, I can have my entire library sitting right in my lap!

Sometimes Logos moves a little slow and feels a little glitchy, but overall the product is fantastic!

I have access to a plethora of resources to aid me in study and preparation. It would be the equivalent of having a personal research assistant - a very confused and tedious one - but a personal research assistant none the less.

You receive A LOT of resources depending on what package you buy. You have access to an extensive digital library.

The learning curve for utilizing Logos is steep. For the amount of money you pay for the software, the free training should be better and more extensive. The IPad app is not fully functional. Most of the resources the give you will go unused because you will have no idea how to use them unless you invest copious hours in the software

Logos is a vast software. It allows me to access my library with a few clicks and saves me hours of time in research (or to be honest, it allows me to do research that I would otherwise skip). The functionality of the Logos apps allows me to study on my mobile device even when I am on the road.

The vastness is also one of Logos' drawbacks. This program huge and there are literally 2 day seminars to teach you how to use it. I will never use anywhere close to its full functionality. It also requires a very fast PC/MAC to run well.

I love the breadth of features. Commentaries, study guides, word studies, translations. There are so many resources within the software. I never feel like I have to go somewhere else to find more information.

It's cumbersome at times. With all of the resources present, it can be difficult to find some of them within the software, and also difficult to interact with them. If time is taken to learn all of the processes and shortcuts, it can be done.

A one stop research tool for Bible study and preparing Bible talks

Simple access to various forms of research on any passage of Scripture (languages, dictionaries, commentaries, historical documents, books, etc.)

There are so many resources to keep indexed and functioning together that it demands a majority of my computer's system resources often "bogging" my computer down or just making Logos run slowly.

It's a great resource for our staff and students to use either in the classroom, or for them to study and use for research papers.

The ease of finding what you need for a specific topic. The search engine is amazing for this product and we have never had any complaints from students.

If you are really into studying the bible, Logos is probably the best software tool at the moment. You get bible translations, maps, images, and a lot of historical data.

My favorite feature is the Strong's concordance implementation, which allow me to study word by word and get the Hebrew and Greek original meaning which can give a whole new perspective to the verses.

I really cannot find a negative side for the software, I could say it is expensive but I guess its price it is somewhat reasonable for all that it offers

If you are starting out in ministry or in depth bible study for other reasons, this software is a great way to gain a large library for a fraction of the cost. The search functions and versatility are amazing. There is a lot that can be done with it so you have to be willing to invest in learning how to use it, but they provide a lot of resources to do that including online videos.

Packages with larger libraries and more resources are a major investment. Individuals with an already large library will likely not find this software as good of a deal.

Can use it anywhere and can use it to keep track of what you want to accomplish religious goals. Prayer list and devotionals.
