I have used envision on multiple projects now and am a strong advocate for it's use on SMP projects. Overall my experience to date with envision has been great and has been well supported by the envision team through both the implementation and execution phases.

The standardized reports for both the weekly and progress reports and ability to manage delays and changes through events.

Found it difficult to link/ automate to the progress report. I tend to find that supervisors struggle to input the information and book to the correct activities.

I have been involved in 2 implementations of this software at 2 companies. The first company was a larger MRO and it was implemented in 9 months. Aerocare is smaller and as we had a lot of employees with user knowledge of Envision this enabled the implementation timescale to be reduced to 3 months.

The software provides all of the functionality necessary to successfully run the day to day business.

The help files could do with updating, and be maintained in line with the version upgrades.

Overall the experience of using Envision was extremely positive, bringing discipline to the cost control process from workforce through engineering to project management. Envision required relevant cost control and production control information to be available in a timely manner at the work front and gave the workforce (who generate the cost) and its influencers (engineering and management) appropriate access to information in time to effectively understand and control production and cost with greater probability to meet and exceed project targets.

The ability to provide meaningful cost information to front-line supervision and engineering while eliminating duplication of data collection

The shortage/limitation of flexible build-in charting/reporting capacity

What I need to know on our current version is ok for me as I'm not a constant user, sometimes I have to be reminded on certain parts of RAL (1.11) especially if I am away on maintenance.

Some parts of RAL Enterprise (1.11) are long winded so to speak and are un-reversible if you make an error/mistake.

Envision is a tool that provides the detail of the works as they occur. It becomes invaluable when needing to refer back to a point in time. Envision is easy to learn and use, with even the most technology adverse members of the team using the software.

Simple for users in the field to record details as they happen.

The report builder requires some experience with HTML, however, this also makes the reports highly customisable (definite positive)

Envision gave us the power to show we were confident in our project numbers. The client liked the accuracy in recorded costs and the way Envision facilitated accountability in the project team for managing the project.

Confidence we are capturing and controlling costs, people and equipment.

Envision has exceeded all expectations and I can confidentially say there in nothing I like least about this system.

Not having proper access, e.g. "Super User," you are restricted from certain features.

The following are main areas the app has or will be assisting the business to achieve its goals.

The ease of use on the web interface and the well thought out layout of all the mobile app screens.

The lack of visual data feedback cues on the mobile platform. More can be done to provide the user meaningful feedback and or prompts. More notifications are required on the mobile app.

Excellent customer services and always trying to accommodate our requirements.

Its simple to use, quick to setup a new project and flexible for any contract type. As a project controls specialist, this software is the best I've used to help engineers and supervisor easily update progress and capture usage in the field and see live performance metrics back in the head office. Envision can provide rich site records for historical data and automates majority of the onerous client reporting requirements.

I would like to see the Envision charts allow for a roster to be applied rather than having to use the custom amount source.
