I used Invoicely to create and send invoices for my PR work. It cut down the time to request my payments and made my job easier when filling in my tax returns.

Invoicely is an important tool for freelancers who have a multitude of clients requesting invoices but a lack of time to manually create them. Invoicely automatically creates and sends invoices to clients, includes relevant costs and branding, and invoices are stored for easy collation.

Sometimes the software seems to send multiple invoices repeatedly to the same client email address, which can reflect badly on the user.

Less time spent on invoices...more time for other admin. Good summaries available to user to stay up to date in your business

One time I spend 4 hours inputting my expenses and accidentally clicked on the back button and everything was lost. Wish there was an autosave feature.

I needed to come up with an ad hoc invoice for private work, this lets me do so in minutes. No training or orinetation needed, I just followed the work flow. Really great.

There were some limitations in the beginning, but over the years it has been improved..

The software allows me to have a list of clients, and to easily duplicate invoices which simplifies my process since clients have similar tasks. The app helps me with everything, from dealing the invoice to sending the email and keeping track of everything.

The lack of a feedback mechanism for when the client pays (and check he/she has paid).So far, I could not find out other/many cons.

It's a good experience, and better than the solution I had before. I like it quite a bit and hope they continue to do exactly what they're doing.

Invoicely provides a good product at a fair price including a free tier that offers a lot of helpful features for the freelancer or individual needing invoicing software to make quick work of those pesky billing tasks. They offer extras beyond the free tier that could benefit growing organizations and folks with more robust needs. The interface is good and clean and it's, overall, very well done.

There are a few tasks that maybe can be achieved more directly with fewer clicks and in the case of doing work like this (pesky billing tasks), more efficiency is always better.

That it was a quick setup and I could get started right away. I don't feel I need additional software for my business which keeps my costs down but allows me to track income, unpaid invoices. I like that my clients get notifications when I have received their payments.

I would like to have recurring invoices but could upgrade but I think that the price point is a bit high for the next level for what you get and specifically what I need so I am not sure whether I will continue when I get to 100 clients.

Previously, I had to use Microsoft Excel to generate an invoice for our clients. However, this Invoicely made the generating invoices so much easier; anyone can do it!

I so far really like everything; it sometimes crashed on our computer, put I have an absolute confidence that Invoicely will fix the matter soon!

I wanted a simple way to invoice clients and track who paid and who didn't. Emailing them is all I needed. And all of this for free. My experience couldn't have been better. Thanks Invoicely! Hopefully I grow into needing more of their services.

It did exactly what I needed it to do--for FREE! Enter my customer address, personalize the template with my logo and info, create an invoice, email it, track payments, and view and re-print a past invoice if needed.

It is ever so slightly clunky in a couple spots not allowing me to view an invoice and just mark it paid, but once you understand the flow, it just works.

As a freelancer, I need something that allows me to keep on top of my invoicing without manually keeping sending reminders. Invoicely allows me to look at what is outstanding by a number of days and trigger a reminder email.

I used the free version until I had to upgrade due to wanting to create recurring monthly invoices. Not the end of the world as well worth the money to save time.

I can access my invoicing on the go and can see the history or previous invoices and reports.

I really liked the automated invoice with customization and branding also features such as draft invoice and taking action on them like sent and paid/unpaid. Reminder to pay and best of all recept of payments thats the best part. Also the link to invoice and pdf are handy tools that help in sending the invoice to person not only on mails but also on WhatsApp and other platforms. Receiving online payment via paypal with complete record was never so easy to manage, thanks to invoicely now there is complete control over invoices and there management with analysis as well of invoice to payment timeline.

There's hardly anything that I didn't like, the free plan offers so much that it's very difficult for me to say anything I didn't about the invoicely.

One fairly subtle thing is that changes to invoices, ie., must be manually saved sometimes else they don't register.

It is quite difficult to start, user interface is not very helpful and/or intuitive, seems complicated at first glance. I would recommend a guide for the first time users. Also it would be great if users can adjust the invoice a bit more.

I've been using Invoicely for about 12 months now and it works very well for simple to create invoices. My needs have been pretty simple so not sure if they provide much more functionality, but to create and distribute invoices with templates, taxes and the like, it works very well.

I had a situation where I needed to contact support for and I never got a response. Not very good and that's one of the reasons I haven't gone to the paid version.

Really easy to use and pretty self explanatory. I like that we can store client details, create new invoices so easily, have records of payments and payments due so easily.

I would like to be able to have a database of items, so that as one types in products there is predictive text and possibly a pricing database.

I use Invoicely to keep track of media sales for my church. The layout and easy to navigate and I was able to use it within minutes after sign up.

I wish it was free forever for nonprofits. I don't write a lot of invoices but those of us who use it occasionally it will be great if it is free.

Overall I have had a great experience using this software.

This software does just what I need. Create invoice. Save as a pdf. Email to the client. Send a url to the client. Nice feature set.

the only con I have for this software is when emailing a client their invoice the return address is something very generic and confusing to the client and sometimes ends up in junk folder.

The program is very easy to use and fast to learn . Have a nice presentation of the invoice . Have a fair price but i still think it should let us personalize more

costumer support takes to long to return and it cant be personalized as name of exporter shippment or collect information for shippment .

Simplicity and clarity for the user. Does all the typical billing functions with ease.

COuld use a separate function for "receipts". Often get paid in some other way, but then the user would like to get an "official-looking" receipt. Can be done with the current design, but few steps are required, would make it smoother to have dedicated functionality for this frequent transaction (at least for me)

The invoice emailing options seem to be a bit redundant, and it often sends more copies than I'd like, and I'm still uncertain whether my client is receiving all of the notifications I am that an invoice has been updated!

Saving time. Ease of use. Our clients seem happy with the invoices they are getting from us. I just find receipting a problem.

It is very quick. I like that clients are automatically set up and Items can be saved. This saves a lot of time. Also the automatic invoice numbering.

We cannot put our payment bar code on to the invoice so I have to send clients two separate e-mails. We use Zapper and require a 50% deposit on invoice, but that is a bit of a problem.

The fact it is free I can't believe this is a freeware product. I would be willing to review it more often to keep it free.

Works pretty well I don't really have a least favorite area but it seems there are a few tweaks that could improve the software.

Somehow I get lost in the settings sections, even though Ive been there a few times. Its a shame that not all fields are editable, for example in Europe we use VAT ID and not TAX ID as in US, would be nice to be able to edit Would also be great to have the choice what info is on the invoice, many clients would like to have the name of the contact person on there, but this is not possible as far as I know

Invoicely allows me to easily track my time, which has enabled me to create more accurate project estimates. It's smooth as butter to use and I highly recommend it for small businesses.

One of the best things about Invoicely is the time tracking feature. I love being able to easily track how much time I'm spending on what.

When sending invoices, you can address them to more than one person. However, the recipients can't see that others were cc'ed. So I've had countless experiences where a recipient in Accounting will reply by forwarding the invoice to my main contact, who I had included on the invoice, or the main contact will reply by forwarding to Accounting, who I had included on the invoice. Basically each thinks the other wasn't included, and this creates more emails and a bit of confusion. The workaround I've adapted is including a note with each invoice telling multiple recipients that they've all been included and are all receiving the same invoice.

i have been able to keep track of all my expenses, offers, invoices, quotes, bills all in one place, the fact that it keeps track of my clients is def worth it! knowing that for less than $10 a month i am able to have a billing/invoicing software that big companies use is just amazing.

what i like about the software is that it is fully integrated, I was able to edit all my company details into all the documents and logo, vat number etc. after that it is easy for me to create bills, invoices, manage my clients, and even keep track of expenses and not paid bills or invoices! it's great to have one place for everything! the fact it sends the emails to clients in such a professional form! the fact i get INFORMED when my quote has been viewed by my potential client!!

I'm trying to solve the need to pay another similar service when all I want is to keep track of invoices. I was hoping Invoicely could take care of this for me. The overall "first entry" into the system is great, and very clean. I love having the published permalink idea.

I really liked the easy use of the software and the dasboard, which allows me to have an overall view of my invoices.

There were not really any Cons but I cannot find a way of chaging the type of currency in the dashboard.

Invoice management is now super easy using this product, especially tracking your client payments and invoices, organizing your client list and their personal details, scheduling and sending automated invoices. Really useful for freelancers and small studios but also for any business.

The tax calculation needs update and there are some minor issues concerning the currency exchange rates when paying to a different country or currency. Apart from these ones, everything works fine!

It helped me get the money owed to me for work I had done.

The software is simple and easy to navigate. I could use it to send to anyone who I needed to pay me money owed to me even a family member who we all know are the hardest people to get payment from because they think they should get everything for free since they are family. I get to have all my invoices in one place, helps see my turnover and what I am owed so I can track the success of my business based on income, before I've been paid. I know when clients have received the invoice, so no "I haven't received it" issues. Also being able to add bills, when I'm invoiced by others is great. A lot of spread out info is now all held in one place.

It's appearance is very professional. My business has just stepped up and this helps create that image of a professional small business.

The first time I used it I would've liked it to guide me more. All the info I needed was there in help, but I'd done my first invoice before I realised that.

It just works. Let's me keep track if what's out, what's due and from who. I am always complaining about app and interface design (just ask my wife). No complaints about Invoicely.

Occasionally requires some screen back and forth that can be annoying, such as when I am checking through multiple invoices. Maybe use a pop up screen for reviewing.

I love the ease of being able to switch line items from hours worked to a custom rate. Many other platforms make me go back into the settings to change this. I think the "boiler plate"/template verbiage that is used for sending the invoices is awesome as well. The Paypal payment integration is flawless as well. Um, let's not forget the free version allows you to do so much. The only reason I upgraded to the next level paid account is so that I could do Estimates.

I did have an issue where my time was not calculating properly. I contacted Customer Service and they were able to promptly assist me. I wish there was an option to allow my clients to pay with their credit cards

It has pushed me into being more 'paperless' - delivering invoices by email or txt when possible. Early days but I'm hoping it will make me more efficient and help me deliver a more professional image over invoicing clients. It would allow me to produce invoices when on the road which before I couldn't do.

This is the fastest business web app I've ever used, faster than many 'local' systems. An unexpected benefit for me was the feedback it gives when sending invoices by email or a link to the invoice by sms text - it lets me know that the client has seen the invoice.

I find entering payment details for checks a bit too 'free form' - its just a text box for check #, date or whatever. But I admit I'm not exactly sure what needs to be recorded about checks, I may be OTT.

I got to create beautifully laid-out invoices. I was able to itemize and more. I am able to encrypt in email or fax it, which is useful for certain clients.

It is very easy to use, and the aesthetics are over the top. The software doesn't look like it is from the 90's, but has a modern, hip look, to the interface. The name is convenient as well.

I would say the only issue I had is verifying that I sent the invoice to the proper address. I always had to Cc myself.

The basic invoices and templates are free. It keeps a copy so you can adapt and edit a previously sent invoice again. Lists the invoices sent and when they have been read. User-friendly.

No discount option on the invoices. No options for receipts from previous payments that have been paid by other means (e.g. cash/cheque)

Ease of use. Produce a quote in very quick because we can reproduce it easily. The design is very appealing and create a very professional quote.

The translation for french is really bad. I have to use only the English because the french translation makes no sense in some section.

The relationship between clients, invoices, and receipts is not intuitive within the platform. It can be confusing to get from one point to another without at least one or two mis-clicks.
