I love how easy it is to design beautiful pages without having to worry about the engineering behind it. With all the compatible apps, I can do it all on my own.
Only thing I have been waiting since day 1 since PageCloud launched is the blog portion. Also the contact form, or just forms in general (questionnaire) , is a bit hard to customize, but it's workable.
It's still a young business so has lots more it could offer like password protection and 24 hour customer service.
What I like lease about this software is that it doesn't yet have all the design options I would like to implement
It was so simple and easy to use. I also have a graphic design background, so I have an understanding of where to place things. But PageCloud makes everything so easy to place.
I wish they have some more fun functions
Fácil de usar
Alguns bugs
Software was easy to use. only took a few days to build a live running business website.
Couple issues of overlapping causing the design to be a bit off. But nothing you cant work around.
Customer service was perfect. Even thought sometimes I was speaking to different agent I always add a good service. I was doing a Golf course website and when I had questions they even give me a customer service agent that was passionate about Golf. They really care.
Honestly I don't see big cons about this service. I have to say that I did not try lots of competitors.
I love the ease of editing and creating a unique website. There’s no need to be stuck to a templates or a theme - allowing me to pick & choose from different elements of websites that inspire me and make it into my own.
A few more integrations would be great, sometimes I have to browse the web to find an integration (ie: Instagram feed carrousel) and would be nice if they had a recommendation list to pick from.
I like that the design is drag and drop for all the common things and is instantly live. Removing the barriers to outcomes is a huge win. I have no desire to concern myself with file storage management, ftp servers, separate design and hosting, etc.
Not everything is intuitive and when you need to go off script, it's definitely much harder and intimidating. Continuing to build out widgets for common ideas like a hamburger menu vs making everyone build it from scratch would be on the list. by PageCloud on 04/04/2018 Hey Joel!Thank you for the review! When it comes to a hamburger menu, our site menu feature will automatically build one for you in mobile mode. We have more information on our site menu feature here: https://answers.pagecloud.com/help/navigation-menuYou can reach out to us via chat or by email [email protected] if you have any questions in the set up :)
Would love to be able to use the program on an iPad. Would also like a lot more short help videos. For me I learn quicker by watching that reading.
Drag and Drop feature makes work flow easy and fast for editing. Easy learning curve and familiarity with other products.
Not enough choices in the features provided. I would like to see more form types and database implementation. I would like to be able to save the customer's form inputs and display products based on the type of car, for example. Currently, we only have contact form and newsletter forms.
Hard time with uploading document Attachments and changing attachment links. Would love an easy attachment menu option where you can view uploaded attachment and links. Also when changing from desktop to mobile, some pictures don't automatically optimize which would be a great function.
Maybe at the beginning it was difficult for me to set up my own page for lack of information in it, but after I gathered everything I wanted to publish it was a piece of cake.
Flexibly. The fluid layout and ability to transition between full screen layout and mobile layout significantly cuts the time required to do work on the design instead of having to recreate a version of a page that is mobile friendly.
Lack of database features, ability to create subdomains compared to other products within similar price range, lack of ability to create a login for a page (like a subscription page) to restrict content to certain people or groups.
I like to the Pagecloud as a s form of play. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, and you don't have to have someone who is knowledgeable about coding or website creation. This user-friendly, easy-to-use software has been a blessing to my career. No more calling the IT guy, no more wishing I did something different and worrying about paying for changes by the hour. PageCloud's customer service is outstanding and I wish it was out sooner.
The only thing I have found that I don't like is their email sign up lists not filtering out spam. I get spam emails everyday.
I can do almost anything I want with text and boxes without having to switch between sections in an interface or troubleshoot code. Dragging and dropping items, resizing text, and a sufficient and well-thought-out toolbox on an interface that almost always matches what comes out in the browser is something I can't do without now.
As the software is in development, some features, in particular creating links simplified and lost a feature or two. For example, I created links that opened in a new window without the browser features. I wasn't able to do this after the new version came out. There were some other features, such as creating a hamburger menu that didn't seem to work with the same ease.
It allows me to make an extremely customized website with minimal website skills. I love being able to move things to the centimeter, copy pages, and create on a dime without dealing with the hassle of finding a template I don't hate. The customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful.
There are times that making everything from scratch can be time consuming. It is expensive, but still cheaper than hiring a web developer.
The only con I have experienced is receiving inquiries on my website using the contact form provided in the software. I can not reply directly to the client. instead, I have to copy there address into the reply to box. Just makes for another step when reply quickly to website inquiries.
The dashboard could be improved, because it doesn't show any useful information after the 10 first recommended steps were done. There is no easy way of implementing site-wide style options, e.g. Text, buttons and Colors. A specific page in the backend would be useful for this. It would be great if I could create templates for different sites on my website. The documentation should be improved, especially regarding E-Commerce such as PayPal and other stores.
Sometimes the save feature is a little funny... and I would save something only to have not properly done so... maybe its me not the program though. Overall really like the software.
Since I was an early adopter, it has been a little limiting at times when certain features are not available on PageCloud yet. For example, SEO is not as robust yet.
While there are shopping cart integrations I would love to see a comprehensive template available for stores.
Very easy to get setup and create your site. The themes give you a little variety and just what you need for a starter site or something to help you bring your message to the world. Good integrations with third party apps. Easy drag and drop functionality. Very intuitive. The pricing is competitive for an updated and secure site with hosting.
They recently updated the forms with a captcha which has reduced spam.
Still in its infancy, and the real challenge will be adding functionality while maintaining its accessibility for idiot users like me. Here are the three things that annoy me the most:
Like any software there is a learning curve.
It is so easy to use, and looks beautiful. I like that you can drag and drop anything. Things line up so beautifully without having to know a lick of code.
Wish there were maybe a few more features built in without having to use something like POWR.IO. But this is really not that big of an issue. The price is great for everything you get.
The hover options are still not that accessible and easy to change.
It enables me to maintain my website in a very user friendly way. The tech support has been excellent and the platform is always improving!
There is very little lacking from the platform and many features that I have wanted are coming online. One feature that would be excellent would be the ability to edit on my iPad or even iPhone!
I love the ease of use and complete customization - it's nice to be able to make my website look EXACTLY the way that I want it. Also, the PageCloud team is amazing and provides exceptional customer support.
I'm looking forward to more options, templates and integrations (i.e. blogs and etc) but love how they are continually improving.
We like how easy it is, and how helpful the staff are when we need help to solve something! The easy of not needing to know how to write script makes a huge difference!! The drag and drop along with image resolution conversion/optimization is amazing!
There are sometimes headaches with the layouts and formatting between mobile and desktop. If one thing is messed up, it can carry forward to the other pages within the site, and can take a LOT of time to fix one small error.
This software is easy to use. You can drag and drop items easily, making it simple to update your web pages.
Lacking features and functionality. It is a rather new application, but will likely get there in time.
The failure to crop images straight in app and the have to guarantee my picture is cropped well prior to hand, there is the capability to move to bottom or leading or center etc by PageCloud on 03/08/2018 Hey Allison, thanks for your review! You'll be happy to know that we launched image cropping in the app a couple days before you submitted your review! Also, we are currently working additional improvements to both navigation (to give you more styling options) as well as buttons that can be styled and changed across your site in a single click :)
When line button and graphics up on the screen in edit mode does not always see what true the viewer on live page. If I have to manually shift stuff or off set the to make it look correct on the screen for the view. Second, there is no way to protect my website contact form from spam Lots of other sites to confirm that I'm a real person and not a robot or computer trying to just send unwanted emails that require to type a code from what you see to make sure before sending email... I have been getting spam lately.
Using PageCloud finally allowed me to unleash my creative ideas for my businesses' and my personal webpage. There are no boxes that I am forced to fit into, the interface is akin to Photoshop but with slightly more ease of use, and almost anything that I cannot do within the PageCloud domain I am able to find through their integratabtle Apps section. However, their strongest feature is their dedicated customer service team. This company is a model of how a customer service should function.
I still am not able to have locked or password protected pages through PageCloud.
The client assistance got a live chat service which is offline the majority of the time. rates is low-cost however you can discover comparable services for even less online. by PageCloud on 03/08/2018 Hey Martin, thanks for your feedback!Regarding live chat, we are always looking at options to increase the number of support hours while maintaining high quality service. On the other hand, you'll be happy to know that we are going to be launching additional plans in the coming months to accommodate different website needs. (Which include more affordable plans)
- Being able to change the style and content in a matter of seconds
- Needs a few more features however they aren't features I would use every day necessarily so not that the lack of them are are a show stopper
Pagecloud is very easy to learn while also coming complete with all the tools necessary for building a modern and professional website. I built a beautiful as just one person with zero previous experience in web development. I also interacted with customer support twice to learn about potential future integrations and they were fast and accurate in response.
I can't think of anything more I would want. Pagecloud has provided me with all the tools I needed to build my site.
Sometimes hard to manipulate things w/o messing up the mobile view. The editing panes cover up the site at times and that's frustrating. Also, sometimes thing don't publish the say way they look on the editing screen, which is frustrating.
Using PageCloud is as easy as drag-and-drop. Just as you would do a powerpoint presentation... no brainer. The best of all is that you get to integrate it with gmail and your own custom domain very easy as well.
The only downside, if any, would be the limited picture editing functionality. But then there's a piece of software to do that....
No real complaints. Perhaps missing a few features, but they are listening to users and adding new features.
I have built two websites with PageCloud, each with many pages. I am an absolute newcomer to this, never having designed pages on any platform before, and so the ease with which I could get a site up and running was my favorite part. The interface made everything fast to create. Then, when I decided what I was creating wasn't cool enough, I found it very easy edit and swap out elements. So I guess what I appreciate most is my ability to get it done quickly using an interface I could get used to.
The shortcuts throughout the design interface are great and helped me work quickly once I had a basic understanding of them. I must admit, however, that I would have liked a little more clarity about what various icons and options meant when I was starting out. This is becoming an advanced platform, and I appreciate the options that come long with that, but there is still room to describe things a little more clearly for us noobs.
The drag and drop features and the online direct live workflow
Menu bar and hamburger menu features are limited
- Some bugs in the user interface, but not many
I love how easy it is to use and how creative it allows you to be. The freedom PageCloud allows you with designing your website is hands down the best. I no longer need to be anywhere near a computer programmer or website genius to be able to create a beautiful website for my company.
As amazing as I believe this software is, I do wish it was a bit more comparable in price. I sometimes struggle to justify spending that much. Also, I usually end up having difficulty convincing friends and family to pay so much to try it. I just wish I could share PageCloud with the world for a better price.
This software works like a good quality desktop publishing suite. It is easy to manipulate websites and create the vision that the mind's eye conjures. HTML code is an option but not needed for anything I am doing. New features are being added, but ultimately this is a package that does what you want in the way you want to see it, quickly and easily. A little care and the website is optimised for desktop and mobile.
I'm still trying to find the flaws. the big one for me was spamming through form filling but the introduction of Captcha has ended that.
It is very easy to use for people who aren't well versed in html and css and other things that are typically required for web design
There are some features & functions that fall a little short for people who want very specific items (the forms options are one example).
I chose to move my high school music program's website to PageCloud due to its functionality, ease of use, ability to drag and drop and pre-made templates. I appreciate being able to see how my site will appear on multiple platforms and make changes specific to mobile or desktop viewing.
The cost is affordable (initially a shock compared to what I pay for a Wordpress site for another business), but considering the easiness of design, updatability, and the constant upgrades to the features available, tge price is actually not a con at all.
I liked the fact that I did not need to know coding or html, just basic desktop design skills, so very easy to get started. Also liked that it came with secure server pages, didn't need to find that elsewhere.
I started using it 2 years ago and there were issues with setting up a nav bar easily on every page, it was a laborious process and not seamless. But this has now been corrected with a simple button for nav bars on every page. They have continuously improved the interface and things keep getting better.
What drew me to Pagecloud was the functionality and ease to build what I imagined.
The dashboard has always seemed a little awkward.
Complete freedom in terms of design. You know for a fact that anything you make and publish on PageCloud will be completely unique which feels great. Anything that you picture in your head you can create on PageCloud.
Tiny bugs here and there (Hard time dragging objects occasionally). But nothing major at all.
I signed up to Pagecloud before their full launch and have never looked back. I wanted something that I (no design or coding experience) could use. I have since gone on to create sites for others too!
The mobile view changes - though this has improved and is so much better.
I think that the beta version of the blog shouls have been more developed before putting it out for the beta testors.
The mix of flexibility and detail I’m allowed to handle on my designs!
More widgets of varying things. Like Wix, but not as basic.
Easy for my clients to use secret I handle the initial build. I can train, even ther most un-savvy client to exit in pagecloud in about 30 min.
It would be great to be able to upload more than just images.
Being able to build your website almost anyway you can imagine without a coding background is incredible.
Only certain forms and things will work with pagecloud, but they are expanding all the time. I wish customer support was 24/7, but they are fast and incredible during their business hours.
The features are very user friendly, not only for beginners but also those are more advanced in web design and development :) I love that everything is drag and drop and that you can easily undo what you've just done with a simple ctrl+z
Sometimes it's hard to ungroup something, like the buttons or form features... Also it would be nice if where a little easier to add a new font to the web pages...
Super fast and super simple. Very intuitive interface. I can focus on the look instead of technicalities. Nice!
PageCloud is a little pricey. I have to go for one website only, because as a very small business I can't afford more. However, what you get with that money is downright awesome.
Just like dropping out whatever, save and done. Its just easier than playing a video game of a 12 yr old.
Hard question. I guess the blog option is missing. That will be it. They update the system. They give you tryouts for their new options, they are great.
I would like more how to video. We don't have many complaint as it's usually human errors. I'd like to be able to edit or templates easier.
It is sooooo easy to use and intuitive as well. Everything works right out of the box and customer service is great.
Nothing really. But as it is a cloud product it is dependent on a good internet connection which in my case is not always the case.
I love the idea of being able to design my website via Photoshop then transfer those assets into a functioning website. It allows me the flexibility to create in a program that I am familiar with and reduce the amount of coding / back end knowledge that you would otherwise need to create a website.
The design mode is a bit convoluted in terms of keeping track of layers. If there were a panel that allows to you track layers similar to Photoshop that would make designing a whole lot easier. I wish there were more templates to choose from. A huge roadblock I have encountered is transferring your desktop version to the mobile version when it comes the sizing of some objects. That has been a frustrating process for me. As well as the lack of being able to have a background video automatically play for phone browsers. by PageCloud on 04/04/2018 Hey there! Thank you for the kind words! When it comes to autoplaying videos on mobile devices, this was something that was restricted by mobile operating systems until recently. We've added in support to autoplay .MP4 videos on mobile devices! We have an answer page on how to set this up here: https://answers.pagecloud.com/help/autoplay-video-on-mobile-devicesIf you have any questions reach out to support via live chat of through [email protected] and we can provide more help! All the best
Honestly, there is nothing bad I can write about it. When I have an issue I contact PageCloud customer service and I usually get an answer/solution within hours and that's all the time like this within the past 2 years. Their service is really outstanding, super friendly people, very personal service and I always get an answer on my questions and can continue with my work, it's just a really great service.
The ease of dropping in maps, videos, forms and (most importantly) FONTS - make this a fantastic tool for web designers who know nothing about coding AND designers who are very well versed in HTML and CSS. The customer service is always fast and friendly. Over the last couple of years I have submitted hard and easy questions for customer support, and am answered quickly and with no judgement!
I do not like how there is no way to siphon pages into logical folders (unless there IS, and I just do not know about it). For instance, if I was creating a sporting goods site, or a sports news site, and I had pages with content (or items for sale) based on different sports... I wouldn't want just 300 pages on the root level of the site - I would want to be able to organize them into logical folders (like Winter Sports/Summer Sports or Baseball, Football, Hockey, etc).
The customer service is amazing. I always receive really fast service and it's always useful. Whenever I have a problem, some one from the team sees me through to the end. I also really enjoy the interface of PageCloud. You have the option to do whatever you want with the ease of using tons of "drag and drop" type options. Plus you have ease access to the code which is always super helpful when you want specific tweaks to something.
The platform can get buggy at times when creating a lot of changes. There is also the issue of images breaking from time to time when you manipulate them different in desktop vs cell phone designing modes.
I have limited experience being creative with computers, so I like easy it is to build a professional looking website. I found a website that I liked online, then copied the format and replaced the media with my own. That's easy.
I would like access to more forms, images, and fonts. I like to play around with different texts. Thats me being picky. The mobile option improved and I always feel like I can contact the fine folks at pagecloud if I need help.
There is a learning curve like any new thing. Trying to remember shortcuts, and figuring out what options do what. Unlike other web hosting packages, email is not included. You do get 1 year of Gmail suite free, however.
I love the layout and features. The menu is simple and easy on the eyes. I like that all the main things you need are in the little menu that comes up with each box, like when I ad a picture, all the editing choices I might want are right there and then when I click on another area, it edits just that.... Its really a great software :)
Sometimes it can be hard to un-group something and it ends up editing the wrong stop, but its super easy to fix with a simple ctrl+z ....Overall I really don't have anything I don't like about the software . Although it would be nice if it was a bit easier to add a new font, but that's about it.
I don't think I could say anything bad about the software to this point. I have been a customer for 2 years now and they have been a great company to work with.
The ease of use and rapidity of editing makes this perfect for our company's needs. Couldn't have asked for a better tool.
Not what I dislike but rather what's missing. Having page templates or integratable blog functionality would be useful.
ease of use. create a blank page, drag virtually anything you want (picture, file to download, text) onto the page and it instantly becomes part of your website. Page cloud integrates with tons of free programs (and guides you to them through their training pages), so you can learn , grow, and improve your site at your own pace
the integration from the desktop site to the mobile site is tricky. if you want a dedicated mobile page to go with your desktop page, as you change one the other one changes and becomes arduous to manage. I realized eventually that with todays smartphones and tablets I could eliminate the mobile pages , but i've still found that what shows up on the back end is frequently not fully compatible with I-phones
Sometimes it hard to believe a review with full customer satisfaction, but honestly, PageCloud delivers. I have been a user since it launched a couple years ago. I was a fan back then and I am an even bigger fan with the new improvements. PageCloud is perfect for someone who has little/basic coding knowledge, or who can at least copy and paste intelligently. From a design standpoint, I do everything in Photoshop (which I am very comfortable in) and then transfer to PageCloud. The learning curve isn't terrible and the advanced features for a drag-and-drop design interface are top notch compared to the more entry level competitor sites such as Wix. If you want a professional site and you're not a huge fan of black and white coding, PageCloud is the go-to.
There are very few things I dislike. I think they are constantly improving and listening to customer feedback, so that's definitely worth something. Personally, I would never build a site on anything else.
The lack of third-party applications and integrations made it difficult to create fully featured pages without excessive coding. by PageCloud on 04/04/2018 Hey there, Thank you for the review! We appreciate it :)When it comes to 3rd Party integrations we currently document support for 70+ integrations, and work with even more! We have a page where you can see all of the documented ones here: https://www.pagecloud.com/apps If you had a particular 3rd party app you wanted to integrate with just let us know either through our in-app chat or by contacting [email protected] All the best!
I like the drag and drop with no coding needed.
I use this for creating a blog.
